A new grocery store opened this weekend at 1193 Dundas West. King’s Fruit Supermarket took over the space recently vacated by Linz’s Market and is a good local option for fruit, vegetables, and non-perishable food and home items.
I spoke with Scott, the owner. He stocked the store quickly to open last Saturday and plans to bring more product and selection into the store soon. Compared to Linz’s, the exterior of KIng’s Fruit Supermarket has not changed much. Inside, the alterations mostly made the already big space appear roomier. The checkout counter is a little further inside the store, but still on the left/east side of the store. It’s a big space, so Scott has room to add to his wares.
King’s Fruit Supermarket will be open 7 days a week from 8am to 11pm. Snacks, beverages, fruit, dairy: you can get it here. Scott also offers a delivery service for those who need assistance getting their groceries home. Stop in and say hi! He’ll be open all next weekend during Dundas West Fest. 1193 Dundas Street West is on the south side of the street. King’s Fruit Supermarket is located in between Saudade and The Garrison.
