A liquor license application was just posted at 1161 Dundas Street West for The Argyle Street Grill.  This address just west of Ossington was formerly home to the Cooper Cole art gallery followed by a series of pop-ups after the gallery moved to Dupont.

Online research finds an Argyle Street Grill in Caledonia which has been popularized on Food Network TV show You Gotta Eat Here! No word on if they’re opening a Toronto location, but that’s probably not the case. More likely is it is being named after nearby Argyle Street.

The front windows are covered by drapes, so we can’t see inside. Serious renovations will need to be done before opening, however. The art gallery did not have a kitchen, for one thing. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about this upcoming new Dundas West business.
