89 Ossington is being renovated into an outpost of Vancouver enterprise Barber & Co. The space on the east side of the street just south of Crywolf was formerly occupied by an art gallery which moved out earlier this fall.
The original Barber & Co is based in Yaletown in Vancouver, with several other branches in that city. This would be the first outpost in Toronto. This continues the trend of Vancouver retailers opening stores on Ossington: Gravity Pope was the first, and Lululemon is coming soon too!
This is a barber shop meant for spending time in. Barber & Co locations in Vancouver have activities like darts, pinball and pool tables, depending on the space.
What to expect from the Ossington location?
We know for sure that they are applying for a liquor license, so gentlemen will be able to consume some alcoholic beverages while relaxing and getting a beard trim and/or haircut.
According to the company website, the Ossington location will be opening sometime this fall and they are currently hiring. We’ve got some photos and will keep you posted as we hear more.
