When we first started this blog, Ossington retail consisted mainly of vintage shops. In the close to four years since, the depth and breadth of our retailers has expanded, and Ossington is quickly becoming a fashion destination, with more specialized vintage side by side with high–end Canadian designer clothing emporiums. We have learned that Tiger of Sweden will join the crowd, with plans to open this March at 56 Ossington, formerly home of Gallery TPW.
Tiger of Sweden was founded in Sweden and is sold across Europe. According to a post they sent us on their twitter account, they plan to open in mid-March. This will be their first foray into Toronto; their only other North American store is in Montreal. Based on their other stores, their departments include Men’s, Women’s and Jeans.
Here’s an image from their twitter account showing the build going on at 56 Ossington.
We’ll keep you posted when they officially open. What do you think about the new shops on Ossington? Have you been to a Tiger of Sweden store before? Let us know in the comments!
