Cabaret at Lower Ossington Theatre

cabaret-new 100 Ossington has been turned into the Kit Kat Club for The Lower Ossington Theatre‘s latest production, Cabaret. The musical runs through March 2nd, so if you like sexy costumes, lively choreography, catchy music and entertaining performances, go see it.

If you don’t know, Lower Ossington Theatre has two upstairs theatres, which are regularly showing different productions. These productions are often musicals; recent productions include Avenue Q and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. There are also seasonal plays, and every weekend, parents take their children to see a children’s show: Pinkalicious is a long-running hit for the theatre.

Cabaret is set in and around a music hall l in Weimar-era Berlin and follows the lives of a German and an American ex-pat and the Germans they work, live and drink with as the Nazi party comes to power. A classic Broadway musical, Cabaret features famous songs like “Cabaret” (come to the…) and “Money” and a rousing rendition of “Don’t Tell Mama” in this production!

Cabaret plays Thursdays – Sundays until March 2nd. Tickets are available here, and sometimes you can find online deals. If you’re looking to make a night out of it, they also have a partnership with The Saint Tavern for dinner and a show.

I loved the show but am not a reviewer – to learn more, here’s a professional review. I don’t doubt you’ll be humming – or even singing – as you leave. Wilkommen!
