Double D’s Pizza on Dundas West is shut down. The deep dish Chicago style pizza spot has multiple “for lease” signs on the windows, doors and all over the exterior of the building.
Double D’s expanded from Gerrard to Dundas West in March 2017, replacing Junk’d. The restaurant sold pizzas, wings and nachos for dinner nightly. We don’t know when Double D’s shut down, but now 1256 Dundas West is vacant and available for another tenant. This location is on the north side of Dundas, just east of Dovercourt, next to the 7-11.
A quick look at a realtor site shows the restaurant has been listed for sale with some of the equipment. No word if the business is still for sale now that it’s shuttered, as there are multiple signs, some saying for sale and some for lease.
They say that bad news comes in threes, so we’re hoping this is it for local business closings for a while. It looks like you can still get deep dish pizza from the Double D’s on Gerrard East. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
