There’s a new record store in the neighborhood: welcome Invisible City Records to 1265 Dundas Street West! The record label/store is a new location, joining local favorites Grasshopper Records and Rotate This.

1265 Dundas Street West

The new Invisible City Records shop is at 1265 Dundas Street West, at the southeast corner of Dundas and Dovercourt. It’s upstairs from Bambi’s in the space formerly occupied by Mr. Flamingo restaurant. The restaurant closed for renos earlier this summer and is not returning, but some of the team are participating in this venture.

About Invisible City

Invisible City Editions started as a label reissuing rare dance floor music, and opened their first record shop on Geary in 2016.  They outgrew the space and will be selling records, along with coffee, beer and wine from the bar. The shop will be open 7 days a week.

The label also brings DJs into the shop, which explains the turntables set up in the back. They’ll be put to good use. Invisible City also hosts shows at Bambi’s downstairs, which makes Invisible City a great fit in this new location.

Stop by 1265 Dundas West this Saturday for the Invisible City Records grand opening. The party runs from 12 noon to 2 am. Expect live music although the acts have yet to be announced.
