The Dakota Tavern’s Bluegrass Brunch Returns This Month

Bluegrass Brunch Returns

The Dakota Tavern‘s Bluegrass Brunch returns this month, and you can reserve in advance. The Dakota Tavern is bringing back one of the neighborhood’s, even the city’s, most popular long-standing traditions. After a six month hiatus, seats are now available to reserve for your all-you-can-eat breakfast with a side of live bluegrass music. The brunch returns Saturday, February 17th with the Sudden Valley Boys and runs all Family Day weekend, Saturday through Monday.

Bluegrass Brunch Basics

The Dakota’s weekend brunch with live music has been ongoing for a decade, and got so popular that 5 years ago, the bar extended it to Sundays and allowed for reservations. Why so popular? The great music, family friendly atmosphere, and loads of food!  A rotating line-up of bluegrass bands plays music kids love to stomp their feet to, and the brunch includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, juice, coffee, and more, served family style.

Bluegrass Brunch Updated for 2018

Dakota Tavern Bluegrass Brunch returns

The 2018 version of the Ossington bar’s famous weekend brunch offers 3 different seatings, so more people will have the opportunity to experience the fun. They action starts earlier this way: the first seating is at 10AM for early-birds, the next at 11:30, and late risers can still take part with the 1PM and last seating.

Each seating lasts 90 minutes and includes an hour of live bluegrass music and the all-you-can eat brunch. The all-you-can-eat brunch includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, home fries, fruit salad, and coffee. Brunch cocktails are available at extra cost.

Dancing – especially by the children – is still encouraged. In fact, they’ve added prizes for kids who show their dance moves!

All-inclusive tickets are $29.50 for adults and $15 for kids. Keep an eye on our calendar for more local events.
