If you’re in the neighbourhood this weekend, there are lots of options for things to do. Here’s a few things that you might want to keep in mind as you plan the next few days.
Starting off Friday night, if you are a bike fan (the motorized kind) head on over to Town Moto for their kick-off party to the Mods and Rockers weekend which takes place at a number of venues across the city. Just a little up the street, it’s someone’s birthday! Yes, it’s Reposado‘s birthday and they are celebrating 6 years in business – providing the best margaritas, and one of the best patios. in the city. There’s going to be live music, drinks (with a lot of tequila we suspect) and a BBQ out back both Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
And don’t forget there’s still lots happening at Summerworks at the Lower Ossington Theatre and other places around the city. You can read more about it from our earlier post here. Although it is currently sold out, tonight’s The Wooden Sky Travelling Adventure Show, starting at 7pm promises to be an interesting musical journey around the alleyways of Toronto.
Later on at the Lower Ossington there’s a show with a mysterious title and description called Eating Pomegranates Naked, which starts at 10pm. The descriptions follows:
If you knew that telling the truth would cost you everything in your relationship would you be honest? You’re only as safe as your secrets.
Warning: Mature language. Suitable for 13+.
Your guess is as good as ours on what it’s about, but it sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?
On Sunday another local establishment is celebrating their 2nd birthday on the street. Yours Truly is having a backyard party with $5 food and drinks – Stop by their backyard between 2pm and 10pm and try some of their great treats, as well as drinks from Perrier, Tromba and Creemore as well as live music from Linus Booth, Andrew Ross, Ronnie Falcon, David Patterson and Babe Rainbow.
Have a great weekend in Toronto and don’t forget to check our calendar for more info.
