OMAW Action Against Hunger

Dine out at local restaurant Omaw this coming Tuesday night for a good cause! Omaw, at 88 Ossington, is donating all proceeds from the dinner service to Action Against Hunger. Dinner service starts at 6PM. Like you need another excuse to eat at a good restaurant.

 

Academy of Lions, #CALS4PALS Row-a-thon, December 3

Academy of Lions Rowathon

Get together a team of you and 2 friends, get a workout in and raise money for a good cause, Right to Play. Registration is open and costs $15 a team. Each team has 25 minutes to burn as many calories as they can on the rowing machine. Prizes for the 3 teams that burn the most, and 50% of the money goes to the charity. It all happens at Academy of Lions, 64 Ossington Avenue, Saturday, December 3rd at 12 noon.

Academy of Lions, Moe is Running 100K for Mental Health, December 8

One of the athletes at local cross-fit gym Academy of Lions, Moe Bsat, is going to run 100KM around the neighbourhood on Thursday, December 8th. His goal is to raise awareness for mental health. Moe will begin running the “Lions Loop” at 6am, and he invites people who are interested to join him in one or many laps. If you aren’t a runner, the route is below, so stand along the route and cheer for him! Otherwise, at the end of the run (they’re estimating around 8:30PM), stop by Academy of Lions to celebrate.
