The 6th annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival is next month, and the Lower Ossington Theatre is a major venue. The festival will run this November 2-7 and includes sketch comedy troupes from Canada and the United States. Some of them are established acts, and others are new up-and-coming performers, and all of them want to entertain you.
The Lower Ossington Theatre is one of three venues for the festival: the others are Comedy Bar (on Bloor near Ossington) and Second City. Tickets are $15 for individual shows (which each seem to feature 3 sketch groups) and there are also discounts for multi-show passes. The festival is less than 2 weeks away, so make your plans now!
