There are some business changes in our Ossington Village news, including a future new restaurant, a closing, and a restaurant for sale

The Contender is Closed

Dundas West sports bar The Contender has closed. After over 3 years offering Monday Night Wrestling, weekend football and a basketball machine, operations ceased last month. Good options remain for watching your favorite teams with other fans at The Dock Ellis, west, and Opera Bob’s, east on Dundas West. Workers have been inside the Contender space at 1166 Dundas Street West. We will keep you posted when the space re-opens.

New Restaurant Coming to Dundas and OssingtonParis Paris

The team behind popular Ossington pizza spot Superpoint is opening a new restaurant in the long empty former gallery space at 1161 Dundas Street West. Called Paris Paris, this is Jonathan Poon and Jesse Fader’s newest restaurant – and wine bar. The business is truly a neighborhood venture, with owners from Mamakas and Camp 4 also on the Paris Paris team. According to their instagram account they are now hiring cooks and plan to open very soon.
