What is Summerlicious?
An annual event since SARS in 2003, Summerlicious is a Toronto-wide restaurant promotion. It now has hundreds of restaurants across the city offering prix fixe lunch and dinner menus for 3 weeks in July. The event launches July 7 and runs through July 23. Menus are 3 courses, usually include vegetarian options, and the prices range from $18, $23 to $28 for lunch and $28, $38 and $48 for dinner.
For popular restaurants, which probably includes those in Ossington Village, reservations are recommended.
Ossington Village Summerlicious: Which Restaurants Are Participating
Three local restaurants are offering Summerlicious menus this July, and all three were listed in Now’s Top 20 Picks for Summerlicious 2017: Hawker Bar, Hungry Amoo, and Ufficio.
Hawker Bar, 164 Ossington
The Asian street food snack bar is offering flavorful food at the low end of the cost spectrum for Summerlicious. The 3 course lunch is only $18 and the dinner is $28 and both include some of their top tasty dishes like Sweet Chili Soy Chicken Wings, Laksa and the Banana fritter for dessert. Summerlicious menu
