Toronto is a music city. This is evident when you walk into a local bar on a Sunday night and hear excellent musicians performing a mix of originals and classic covers. This is what happens on Sunday nights at Opera Bobs when The Ole Fashion is on stage.
The Ole Fashion Band
Led by singer and guitarist Darcy Windover, with Kevin Neal on pedal steel guitar, the group plays rock music with a country twang. You’ll likely recognize some songs, as they belt out a mix of classics and some originals. Many members of the band are also solo performers, so expect different line-ups each week. Sometimes the band includes singers Melanie Brulée and Sarah Burton, who are often touring on their own. Whatever the configuration onstage, expect good musicians playing good tunes at Opera Bobs.
The Ole Fashion at Opera Bobs
The Ole Fashion plays every Sunday night from 9PM-12M at Opera Bobs. More well known as a sports bar, Opera Bobs has a decent size stage and hosts music. The band’s weekly residency has been ongoing for a few years. There is no cover, but PWYC. They pass the hat in between sets, so drop some money in when it comes your way.

Next time you have some free time on a Sunday night, stop in to 1112 Dundas Street West and tap your feet to some good live music. We’ll say howdy if we’re there.
