January in Toronto is usually a month of hibernating. But Toronto restaurants want you to dine out, and Ossington Village restaurants are offering a variety of reasons to eat out and enjoy this January. Here’s a rundown of upcoming Ossington restaurant events.
Diner en Bark Winter Edition, Boehmer Restaurant
Boehmer Restaurant, in conjunction with Get Leashed Magazine, is hosting another dinner for people and their dogs. This is a member’s only event, so you must join the Get Leashed club to participate, but if you want to eat dinner in a restaurant with your dog, this is the club for you.
The dinner takes place on January 23rd at 7:30pm. Once you’re a member, the 6 course meal by Chef Bohmer, with wine pairings from Rosewood Estates Wines, costs $65, proving membership has its privileges!
The dinner with dogs also includes live musical entertainment and a silent auction to raise money for Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary.
Boehmer Restaurant is located at 93 Ossington Avenue.
Winterlicious 2017
The annual Winterlicious festival returns January 27, with two great local restaurants offering prix fixe menus for the entire duration, from January 27-February 9. Make reservations now at Ufficio and Hawker Bar.
Hawker Bar‘s $28 prix fixe offers a nice selection of favorites from their regular menu, for both vegetarians and meat eaters. 3 courses for $28 at Hawker Bar is always a good choice! Hawker Bar is at 164 Ossington Avenue.
Ufficio Restaurant was just selected as one of Toronto’s best new restaurants, so the prix fixe Winterlicious reservation will be in demand. The Italian seafood – and vegetarian – 3 course meal will only set you back $28. Ufficio is located at 1214 Dundas West.
Giro d’Italia
The new Giro d’Italia, a sort of Italian version of Winterlicious, launches January 26 through February 5th, and Enoteca Sociale, one of the city’s best Italian restaurants, participating. As a participant, each restaurant will serve a 4-course prezzo fisso (prix fixe) dinner menu ($45) with select restaurants also offering a 3-course lunch menu ($30).
Enoteca Sociale is located at 1288 Dundas West.
Soos Nyona New Year
On February 1st, Malaysian spot Soos is celebrating New Year’s Eve with a family style feast, and you are invited to join them. Expect multiple courses inspired by Chinese New Year’s Malaysian dishes, all for $45 per person.
Soos is located at 94 Ossington.
