Oz Boutique, a new store at 134 Ossington, has officially opened and isgettinglots ofpress. The owner is none other than Project Runway Canada Season 1 winner, Evan Biddell. The new space is more than just a retail store; it is a studio and art space and is also home to photographer Joe Fuda’s gallery.
One of the real gems of the Ossington Village is Saturday afternoons between 4 and 7pm at the Communist’s Daughter. Michael Lewis Johnson holds one of the most unique regular live music shows in in the city. The small 25 seat bar is transformed back in time; Michael sings and plays cornet in songs from the 20s, 30s and 40s – what he calls Gypsy Jazz – while simultaneously bartending and playing gracious host to an always-packed house.
