Just like the weather, Ossington itself is changing. Crafted Coffee moved today and Burgers N’ Fries Forever is set to open this weekend, and from what we see, these Ossington changes are going to be good!
Crafted Coffee Moves And Renames as Pilot Coffee
Locals know the original location of Crafted Coffee at 135 Ossington, which has been there for 8 years. Crafted closed that small shop over the weekend and has reopened in a much bigger and brand new space at 117 Ossington Avenue, part of the new 109 Oz retailers. The new location is renamed Pilot Coffee Roasters, the longtime owner of Crafted. Good news! They are serving the same coffee in a newer, bigger location up the street, with more offerings.
Pilot Coffee Roasters now has coffee pour-overs, regularly scheduled coffee tastings, and a much bigger food menu, with sandwiches, wraps and paninis.
If you want to take home a memory from Crafted at 135 Ossington, head to the garage sale on Monday at 10AM. They’re selling artworks and furniture from the café, and may even be giving stuff away. Once that process is done, the space will be available for another tenant. As soon as we know who takes over at 135 Ossington, we’ll share the information.
Burgers N Fries Forever Soft Launch is This Weekend
The eagerly awaited opening of Ottawa burger joint Burgers N Fries Forever is almost over. This Friday and Saturday nights they are holding RSVP required soft opening events. Spaces are already sold out for the sneak previews scheduled from 6-8PM both nights this weekend. The event offered 50% off the menu, so no wonder it sold out.
After this weekend, although you won’t be among the first to try the burgers and fries, you should be able to go and buy them without a reservation. Burgers n’ Fries Forever moved into the old Rashers spot at 182 Ossington Avenue.
