Ossington Village Closings

Closing Sale at Jean Darlene
Closing Sale at Jean Darlene

Two Ossington Village shops will not be here in the new year. One closed already and the other is currently holding a closing sale.

38 Ossington is for lease

Funky art and design shop Williams Craig is no longer open at 38 Ossington Avenue. We weren’t informed as to when or why the store closed, and are unsure if the interior design firm is still in place and has just moved. The WC website and online store still appears to be working, so maybe they are moving to a new location or just virtual now.

The space at 38 Ossington is for lease through Hullmark Developments, which owns a lot of the upscale retail spaces on Ossington. WC was located on the west side of Ossington, north of Queen next to Annie Aime.

Jean Darlene Closing Sale

Jean Darlene
Jean Darlene on Dundas is closing

Dundas West clothing store Jean Darlene is in the middle of a closing sale. We don’t know how long this local shop has been open, but we imagine it’s had a few decades, at least, of selling women’s and children’s clothing. The sale started last week and is running now. This shop was a go-to spot for holiday and occasion outfits for children. Think confirmation, baptism and more. If you have one of those coming up, stop by 1203 Dundas Street West soon. Big deals on children’s and women’s dresses and more.

1203 Dundas is prime real estate, just west of The Garrison and Veghed.

Do you have any memories of Jean Darlene or WC that you want to share in the comments?

We’ll keep you posted when we know the new tenants of either space.
