We got some answers after our post yesterday about the mysterious signage at 198 Ossington. It turns out that Cityplace favorite Roywoods is expanding to Ossington.

The team behind Roywoods at Cityplace is bringing their Caribbean cooking to Ossington Avenue. The flagship spot is a quick take-out style joint. Their specialty dish, jerk chicken, ranks #3 on the list of best jerk chickens in the city. The menu also includes oxtail, BBQ chicken and catfish and pork. Sandwiches and plates are available. This is all based on the menu at the original location. We will have to wait and see precisely what dishes the kitchen brings to the Ossington location. We can expect some Caribbean cuisine at 198 Ossington. This is a cuisine that doesn’t currently exist in the neighborhood, so it’s a welcome addition.
