Just announced this morning – we learned about it via Facebook – is that hip local bookshop Monkey’s Paw is closing their doors on Dundas West. That’s right. The shop’s last day at 1229 Dundas West is June 12. The good news is they are staying in business, just in another spot – they’re moving up to Bloordale: 1267 Bloor Street West.
Before they move, they’ll host a garage sale this Saturday starting at 10AM. Sounds like they’ve culled quite a mix of books, articles and more for this sale and all items will run between $1-$4. More info at the link.
We will miss the proximity of all those great old books and the Bibliomat. At least we can rest easy knowing it’s a quick ride to the new – and bigger – space.
