Canadian Music Week Moves to May – Lots to do on Ossington

Canadian Music Week has shifted from the cold days of winter – it was previously in March – to the milder days of May, May 6-10 this year. That means next week the city, and our neighborhood, will have a lot of live music shows.

Many of the famous acts – Walk off the EarthNeko Case, and City and Colour, are performing at big venues like The Mod Club, Massey Hall and the ACC, but if you want to see up-and-coming acts and interesting shows, there’s lots on offer in our neighbourhood. Local venues include The Painted Lady, The Dakota Tavern, The Garrison, and The Great Hall.

As always, the local schedules are in our calendar.

You can buy tickets for all shows individually or get a wristband to see as many as you want. Prices range from $10 per show and up. There is one option for a 5 day wristband that covers music, comedy and film and costs $75 + fees.
