Paris Paris officially opened last weekend and has been busy ever since. Based on their instagram, even on Monday at 2pm, Dundas West’s new wine bar-restaurant was hopping. We finally got to try the neighborhood’s hottest new spot – and got photos.
Décor
1161 Dundas West is completely transformed into Paris Paris. It looks much bigger than we expected from visiting when it was an art gallery. The bar is bright and roomy with a focus on wine.
Exposed brick fits with the rustic homey feel of the place. The profusion of plant life also warms up the room.
Menu
There is a fairly extensive wine list, with about 30 reds and 30 whites as well as bubbly, with about 14 offered by the glass. The beer and cocktail list is quite basic, but that’s not why you’d go there. This is to ensure those who bring non-wine drinking friends to Paris Paris, they will have options.
The menu at Paris Paris is wide-ranging featuring flavours from all over the world. There are cheese and charcuterie plates befitting a wine bar, along with some broader fare. Chicken wings and onion dip are interesting additions.
Plates
The plates are tapas style servings, so Paris Paris is a good place for snacks with your wine, or else order a lot if you want a full meal.
Paris Paris is open daily from 12noon to 2am at 1161 Dundas Street West, just west of Ossington on the south side past The Communist’s Daughter.
