Ossington Village businesses are always charitable, and as the holidays approach, there are already a few fundraisers scheduled in the neighbourhood. We’ll keep posting in our calendar, but here’s a few that are coming soon.
THE DAKOTA TAVERN CONCERTS FOR ALZHEIMER’S IPOD PROJECT
When: Multiple events starting Monday November 21st
Where: The Dakota Tavern, 249 Ossington Avenue
To celebrate their 10th anniversary this December, The Dakota Tavern is hosting a series of concerts to raise money for The Alzheimer Society of Toronto and Perth County’s Music Project and Ipods for Memories program. Tickets went on sale this morning for Matt Mays on Monday night; other shows will include The Beauties and Flash Lightning.

Local musicians are coming together for a fundraiser for a very ill local youth. Renten’s go-fund-me page has all the details of his troubles, and the money raised over the two shows will add to whatever is raised to help the boy and his father. Tickets are $20 and available online. Perfomers include Dakota regulars Norman Blake from Teenage Fanclub and Joe Pernice of The Pernice Brothers.

WEST NEIGHBOURHOOD HOUSE BAZAAR
When: Thursday, November 24th
Where: West Neighborhood House, 248 Ossington Avenue
This senior’s bazaar has been running every Thursday in November, so the next one is your last chance to shop in support of West NH Elderly Person’s Centre. You can buy cards and other handcrafted goods, and maybe you’ll find a holiday gift or two.
So get out there and have some fun while supporting a good cause in Ossington Village.
