An American retailer plans to open a Canadian outpost right around the corner from us. Shinola, a Detroit based company whose mission is to sell American built products including watches, bicycles and leather goods, is renovating the space at 1000 Queen Street. The southeast corner of Queen and Ossington was previously filled by Stussy and Sam James until last December.
This space has been sitting empty since the new year, but the renovations are in full force, and they are looking for staff.
Shinola adds to the growing list of retailers on Ossington, following the recent opening of V de V, further reinforcing Ossington’s status as a shopping destination.
