The TD Toronto Jazz Fest launched last weekend across Toronto. The big shows with big names and ticket prices are happening across town at Nathan Philips Square, but you don’t have to travel far to hear some great jazz. The Painted Lady is offering jazz – cheap and late – all week long.
Painted Lady’s jazz fest events kicked off this past weekend, and there are a few more late nights of jazz to go. The festival grants them extended hours, so you can drink and listen to music there until 4am. You can even join in on the late night jam sessions! Tonight it’s afro-cuban late night jazz, tomorrow it’s the improv jam led by Wayne Cass.
