Rock Lobster Foods is now open

Watch out Red Lobster, Ossington now has the hipper version. Rock Lobster is now open at 110 Ossington, formerly occupied by Watusi.

Our evening started with a warm greeting from the owner, Matt, and a Rock Lobster Ceasar – a variation of this Canadian classic yet garnished with a fresh lobster tail from the raw bar. This is both a drink and an appetizer.

The menu includes a raw bar with oysters, lobster, crab and peel-and-eat shrimp as well as a wide assortment of other Canadian classics with lobster and seafood twists. They also have an addictive cheesy biscuit reminiscent of Red Lobster’s, and their already famous lobster roll.

The space, formerly Watusi, is decorated with rustic wood walls and Canadiana art, giving it a relaxed and comfortable feel. We were made to feel part of their new family from the moment we walked in. We loved it and wish them best success. You’ll be seeing us in there often.
