This September is shaping up to be a lot of fun in Ossington Village. We’ve already experienced the Alleyway Party (and it was great!), Toronto Beer Week is in full effect, and the Gallery Hop we wrote about happens this Saturday. Plus, just yesterday we told you about the Table D’Oz, and now we are hearing of more things to do this weekend. Hope your calendar is free because you’re going to want to join in on some of this fun stuff.
Starting Friday night, The Garrison plays host to a variety of comedians for the 42nd Just For Laughs Festival, called JFL42. It’s a pretty big event across Toronto, with names like Louis CK and Patton Oswalt performing. A festival pass gets you a ticket to the Louis CK show at the Sony Centre and credits for other shows, some of which are at The Garrison this Friday, Saturday and next Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. It looks like you have to buy a pass to go to any shows, no information on tickets at the door or individual tickets.
In between the art and the food on Saturday, meander up to Dundas West for their Sidewalk Sale. Everybody on the street from Shaw to Landsdowne seems to be participating (seriously, it’s a long list), from art galleries to cafes and restaurants to retailers. We found out about it from Grasshopper Records on Twitter, so you know the music store is participating. You can shop on the sidewalk from 10a-6p this Saturday.
With all these events right on our doorstep, there is no reason to leave the neighborhood. See you outside!
