It’s been a long time coming, with their sign having been hoisted in March of last year, but all good launches come to an end. We are finally getting some Indian food on Ossington with the opening of Amaya Express at 108 Ossington. They had some slowdowns due to permitting problems and issues dealing with mechanical and electrical problems in the building, but that’s all over and they have finally opened their doors.
It’s still not fully decorated, and they haven’t yet secured their liquor license, but they tell us that the spartan environs will soon have more decor and their bar will soon be stocked. They just needed to get the doors open and get selling. 
They will be open every day from 11:30am to 10pm serving a range of family style and individual dishes. Here’s the menu, which is still in photocopy form.
Stocked in the fridges are mango smoothies, which look like just the right thing on a hot summer afternoon:
