There’s a new record store in Toronto: Grasshopper Records opened two weeks ago at 1167 Dundas Street West, just west of Ossington. Open daily from 12n-12p, this place is serving up loads of classic vinyl – in our visit today we spotted some NWA, Miles Davis and Sonic Youth favorites.
We spoke to the owner, Derek Madison, while we were there and learned more about this new venture. This is his first retail space, having sold out of Kensington Market for a while, and he has some cool plans for the shop. Grasshopper Records has already hosted some in-stores, which if you missed (like us), don’t worry, there will be more! There are plans for more during NXNE, which is only 2 weeks away.
Go check it out now! Follow @grassrecords on twitter for more info and updates.
