I have this theory that there were a lot of people in the downtown area were fed up with incumbency, and to them Smitherman represented incumbency, even more than Pantalone did. There was a feeling of &#039;throw them out&#039; that prevailed, and people may have held their noses and voted for Ford, thinking that it&#039;s time to clean and we can go back to the left on other issues once the house is clean. It&#039;s my theory anyway. ]]></description>
