The gift: A warm and fashionable hat. With fashionista labels like Missoni, and luxe fabrics like mink, I Miss You offers a wide range of styles and colors to choose from. The common characteristic will be looking good!

St. Christopher House Holiday Bazaar

St. Christopher House is hosting their annual Christmas Bazaar November 23rd, 24th and 25th. Our neighborhood community centre, St. Christopher House provides help and event programming for people of all ages in Ossington Village and environs.

Stop by 248 Ossington Avenue (NW corner at Dundas) on Tuesday, November 23rd between 10a-7:30p, and Weds, Nov 24 and Thursday Nov 25th b/t 10:30am-4:30PM. They were setting up the main floor tonight with lots of tables which will soon be covered with hand-made crafts, baked goods, work from local artisans, a “white elephant” table, and more.

No admission fee and this is open to the public. Happy shopping!

Frugal Fashion Week – shop for a good cause

Frugal Fashion Week is a Toronto charitable initiative that celebrates all the fun of fashion and shopping, while also supporting local retailers in design communities and donating some proceeds to a good cause, Windfall, Canada’s only new clothing bank.

Ossington and Dundas West count as one of the key neighborhoods for this event, along with West Queen West, Yorkville, Yonge and Eglinton, and King East.

Although the week is not happening until the end of July, tickets are already on sale for the whole shebang, including a gala at the Bata Shoe Museum (talk about perfect synergy), a Shop Crawl party, and a Finale event with music and fashion at an undisclosed location on Ossington.

It sounds like a fun new event, and it’s for a good cause, and local! What more could you want?
