Halloween is something you can celebrate all month long in Ossington Village. Here’s a preview of some of the scary, and not so scary, Halloween events in the neighborhood to help you celebrate Halloween 2017 in the best way possible.


Halloween Bar, All Month, Fountain Gallery

Halloween at Fountain Gallery

Dundas West bar and art space Fountain Gallery has transformed into “Halloween Bar” with a red room bathroom, spooky Halloween masks and more. The space will be decorated all month, so stop in for a drink and some spooky instagrams!

 


Ghost Stories (Told Live), October 24, The Garrison

True Stories Told Live is a regular storytelling event at Dundas West’s The Garrison, and this month is all about ghost stories, perfect for Halloween.

The event starts at 7:30PM and you can purchase tickets in advance for $10.  Halloween costumes are optional.


TTC TraumaThe Spoke Presents: TTC Trauma – True Stories of Public Transit Nightmare, October 24, The Ossington

We’ve all experienced bad commute experiences, and now we can relive those nightmares together with this storytelling event at The Ossington. The Spoke brings together some of Toronto’s storytellers tell their true traumatic stories about the TTC. The event is PWYC and begins at 8PM on October 24th at The Ossington. All Fright Long Halloween 2017

All Fright Long – Halloween Dance Party, October 27, The Garrison

On October 27th, celebrate Halloween 2017 at The Garrison with a dance party with a live band. As this Halloween Dance Party happens the weekend before Halloween night, you are encouraged to wear a costume.

Doors open at 9PM and admission is $10.

 


Howloween Halloween 2017Howloween Unleashed, October 28, Unleashed in the City

One of the cutest Halloween events has to be local canine adventure shop Unleashed in the City‘s pup Halloween costume parade. Dress your dog for Halloween, or just stop by and watch the fun!

The pup party and parade is Saturday October 28th from 12-2pm.

 

 


Halloween 2017 HalloqweenHotnuts Halloqwueen Pride, October 28, The Garrison

Popular gay dance party Hotnuts hosts a Pride-themed Halloween party at The Garrison on Saturday, October 28th. Expect great music and costumes so bring your dancing shoes and feel free to dress up!

The festivities begin at 10PM and entry is $10.

 


Catl Halloween Party, October 29, The Dakota

Toronto blues/rock outfit Catl rock out The Dakota Tavern for their 3rd annual Halloween party, on Sunday, October 29th. The party starts at 10PM and goes til the wee hours of Monday morning.

Celebrate All Things Pumpkin, November 1, Trinity Bellwoods Park

Trinity Bellwoods Pumpkin Parade

The Friends of Trinity Bellwoods Park is bringing back their annual pumpkin celebration on the Day of the Dead. Head to the park the night after Halloween with your Halloween pumpkin for a family friendly good time. The program is completely free of charge and includes a variety of pumpkin related activities including:

5-9PM: Pumpkin Parade: Bring your carved pumpkins and they will be lit and displayed in the park for everyone to admire.

6:45-8:30PM: *New this year: Pumpkin Contest: Bring your pumpkin by 6:45pm and you will be entered into the contest. Everyone will be given a vote. The most popular pumpkin will win a gift certificate from The Lucky Penny.

8:45-9PM: Pumpkin Toss: Get ready to throw these pumpkins. *All pumpkins will be composted.
