Upcoming Events in September

September is a time for getting back together with friends and celebrating the end of summer. There is no shortage of upcoming events at various venues in the area. Here are some we are excited for:

Tequila Corn-Roast Fiesta – Reposado Bar

This Sunday, September 9th, Megan Jones from Reposado & Garth Legree from the County General are teaming up to bring you an event where great tequila cocktails meet great Mexican food. Get a Mexican corn roast plate with tacos and all the fixings and a cocktail featuring Tromba Tequila for only $20. They’ll be going from noon until they run out of food. Feel free to RSVP on their Facebook page here.

Ossington Village AlleyWay Party – The Alley between Foxley and Argyle

If you missed last year’s Ossington Village alleyway party, you missed a good celebration. (Check out some of the pictures here) Michael Louis Johnson, who you may know from the Communist’s Daughter, and the folks from Urban Meadow records (which includes the popular Lemon Bucket Orkestra) are doing it again this year on September 16th. Come out to see what’s happening. They’re hoping to paint over some more of the graffiti garage doors again. If you live in the neighbourhood, they’d love people to offer their barbecues so others may cook food. There will also be neighbours organizing some kids’ activities.  For any more info and volunteering please contact Michael Louis Johnson, michaeljATurbanmeadowDOTca

Rescue Vintage – Grand Opening – 109 Ossington

As part of the Queen West Art Crawl, RESCUE Vintage, located at 102 Ossington, celebrates their grand opening across the street at 109 Ossington on September 15th and 16th.
