Yours Truly Now Open

New restaurant Yours Truly opened quietly this week at 229 Ossington, just south of Dundas. The menu is posted in the window, and it starts with a prix fixe card offering seasonal meat and veggie options. There is also a section of small plates. When we dropped by and spoke to a hostess, she told us they will soon show their menu online as it will change often.

We took some photos of the menu for your reference. You can also stop in and taste for yourselves! Let us know if you do go: we have some holiday parties this weekend, so won’t be able to try right away.

    The girlfriend and I visited this place last night, as she knew Chef Jeff and a few of the other staff from a previous location.  We were blown away by the meal.  It’s obvious that the emphasis in this place is all about good food and good company.  The server was pleasant and helpful.  One cool thing was the that the cooks themselves ran the dishes and were able to explain themselves their creations.  My personal favorites of the evening were the trout dish and the salt cod from the Snack Menu.  The celery soup is also were mentioning as being delightful. 

    All in all, an excellent dining experience.  I think the idea of a kinetic menu is an excellent one, and I can’t wait to see what else these wonderful chefs have in store.
