Neighbourhood Noise? -It’s Portuguese Festivities

Sitting in our living room, Sunday night, 10pm and the music is blasting across the Ossington neighbourhood. Is it The Ossington? Perhaps LeVack Block? or perhaps even Pride Day celebrations?

Alas, no. It’s the neighbourhood Portuguese festival happening in the park off Argyle – Osler Playground.

Now I’m not one to complain about the Portuguese in the neighbourhood having a festival. We actaully spent a few hours last night watching Iran Costa and Marcello Neves (we assume these are Portuguese celebrities) and enjoying the atmosphere last night. But it’s clear that the noise in the neighbourhood comes from many of the cultures that occupy this neighbourhood. Let’s enjoy it all!
